This 1875-CC Trade Dollar is in Almost Uncirculated condition. The coin has been lightly cleaned and shows a few minor abrasions.
This 1875-CC Trade Dollar was one of those minted between 1873-85, to be used in circulation in the Orient, and to compete with other countries dollar sized coins. These trade dollars were legal tender in the U.S., until 1887. About 1.57 million of the 1875-CC coins were original minted. In 1887 the law authorizing trade dollars was repealed, and the U.S. Treasury redeemed and melted many of them.
This 1875-CC Trade Dollar will make a great addition to your type coin collection, or for a coin dealer’s inventory.
