An absolutely beautiful 1878 S trade dollar graded MS 61 by PCGS. This coin is by far one of the most proof like looking trade dollars we have ever offered! We cracked this one out of it's old PCGS holder expecting it would this time earn the "PL" designation since they did not designate these in proof like before. However, they decided to just stuck with the same Mint State 61 grade and to not give it the designation. A superior quality coin that should have earned the designation in our recommendation.
