    Silk Ribbon Embroidery:  Silk ribbon embroidery uses ribbon instead of embroidery floss. This complicated looking work is in fact quite simple and easy to do and can be used to embellish anything - clothes, hats, pillow cases, bedspreads and quilts, bed skirts, aprons, wall hangings, doilies, table runners, and more. One of the things that stands out about ribbon embroidery is the texture it creates. Rather than simple stitches on the surface of fabric, the bulk of the ribbon results in embroideries that seem to jump off the material, giving an amazing detailed visual effect.
